Listing Description:
Built as the Third Presbyterian Church in 1868, this sandstone edifice remained a Presbyterian house of worship until 1920. At that time, the congregation known as Tabernacle Baptist Church - then located in the still-extant building at 318 East Fourth Street - purchased this building and changed its name to First Baptist Church.

The education building was constructed 1954-55 in the International style. Historic photo from the collection of the Indiana Room, New Albany-Floyd County Public Library.
