Galbraith-Dishman House

Listing Description:
Constructed in 1865 by William Galbraith, this home was reportedly originally located on Lower Second Street, between Main Street and the Ohio River. In 1876, the house was moved to its current location utilizing wooden beams and rollers, and a mule-powered winch.

The photo below, from the collection of the Indiana Room of the New Albany-Floyd County Library, shows the home circa 1940.
