James and Mina Forman had this house constructed around 1925, on the site of the Merrill Weir mansion. The mansion is pictured below shortly before its demolition, in a c.1925 photo from the collection of the Indiana Room at the New Albany-Floyd County Library.. The mansion had later been converted to McKamy Hospital, run by Dr. Anna McKamy. Mr. Forman was secretary of the Conrad-Kammerer Glue Company, located on the west side of Silver Street south of the Pennsylvania Railroad tracks.
