Listing Description:
Although it has been heavily modified in the ensuing years, this was likely built as a residence around the time of the Civil War. It appears on the earliest Sanborn Fire Insurance maps of the city in 1886.

The photo below - from the collection of the Stuart Wrege Indiana History Room at the Floyd County Library - shows the building circa 1965, when it was a real estate office.
