Listing Description:
Attributed to architect and master builder Isaac P. Smith, this home was built c.1845 for clothing merchant John Conner. His business, Conner & Co., was located on East Main Street in downtown New Albany.

The Masonic Temple Association purchased the entire estate in 1919 for $20,000, and continues to use the building today. The Spring Street addition, at the rear of the house, was completed in 1920.  The historic photo below shows the building soon after the addition was completed.
