Built as a stage and movie theater in 1909, The Grand was remodeled and enlarged in 1913. The photo below shows its original appearance.

It was remodeled again in 1950, with the current Art Deco-inspired facade added and the interior updated. It continued to be operated as a movie theater until April 1975. After a number of other reuses, it was rehabbed as an event facility in 2001.
