This American Foursquare - almost identical to the house at 1115 E. Main - is also believed to have been built by S. Day and Sons. Sales manager Arthur Scott purchased this lot in 1911, and had the house built about a year later. It replaced an older, 1 1/2 story structure that had stood on the site. The photo below shows the home as it appeared in 1969, virtually unchanged from its current appearance.
