Dr. Parvin M. Davis Building 601 East Spring Street New Albany, IN 47150

This building was constucted as the physician's office of Dr. Parvin Davis in 1928. It replaced an earlier, Federal-style structure that stood on the site, pictured below in a photo from the collection of the Indiana Room at the New Albany-Floyd County Library. Dr. Davis practiced medicine in New Albany for forty years, and served as a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army during World War II. The building offers a notable example of the Art Deco style, uncommon in New Albany.
