Lewis R. Stoy House

Listing Description:
This was originally constructed as a single-story, gabled-ell dwelling for the Lewis R. Stoy family in 1883; the upper stories were added in a major remodeling that took place in 1895. Mr. Stoy and his father, Peter, were proprietors of Peter R. Stoy and Sons, dealers in hardware, sash, doors, blinds, window glass, iron and wagon material, and guns and revolvers, located in the downtown. 

The house received a 'Facelift Award' from the New Albany Preservation Commission in 2010 for the extensive rehabilitation that occurred here.
