Joshua Bragdon House

Listing Description:
This frame house was built for Joshua Bragdon in 1856. Designed by master builder and architect Isaac P. Smith, whose own home was located next door at 513, it combines elements of the Greek Revival and Italianate styles. Mr. Bragdon was owner of the New Albany Rolling Mill, which manufactured rails for railroads. By 1907 dry goods merchant Charles Hassenmiller and his wife Elizabeth had purchased the home. During the mid-20th century, it was home to the Judge Paul Tegart family.
