Stosenburg-Thornton House

Listing Description:
This Queen Anne-style dwelling was built in 1892 as the home of Evan B. Stotsenberg, an attorney with the firm of Voigt & Stotsenberg. The house was the third or fourth to be built on Cedar Bough Place. By 1913, James and Anna Thornton owned the property. James was a shipping clerk at the Hoosier Panel Company and later owned a liquor dispensary. The Thornton family owned the house until the mid-1960s. The photo below shows the house as it appeared in 1972.
