This site was home to a one-story double house before this two-story double was built.  This first entry in the New Albany City Directory was in 1905.  The house was built originally for the purpose of rental property and saw various tenants over the course of time.  The first tenants were: Ida Lister, widow of A. A., at 713 and Robt. H. Bailey at 715.
