This Queen Anne-style house was the home of William Banes, an architect and builder. He and his brother, James, were responsible for building many of New Albany's most significant structures, including the Culbertson Mansion, the Culbertson Widows' Home, the Cornelia Memorial Orphans' Home, and the Robert McCord mansion, among many others.
