After selling his home at 611 East Spring Street, James Wesley Conner, Jr. had this Queen Anne-style house built in 1901 and remained in it for twenty years. In the mid-1950s, well-known New Albany physician Dr. Daniel Cannon purchased the house and raised his family here, adding a large addition to the rear of the residence.
The current owners received a 2014 'Facelift Award' from the New Albany Historic Preservation Commission for their work on the house, including a new paint scheme that highlighted its many architectural details.
