Two early- to mid-19th century brick homes once stood on the site of this modern office building, as seen in the 1967 photo below. The home to the left in the photo was identied as the Forman House.

The other photo shows the large, frame Weathers House, which stood at 223 East Spring (the current parking lot) before being destroyed by fire in 1927 or 1928. Both photos are from the collection of the Indiana Room at the Floyd County Library.
