Listing Description:
One of the earliest residents of this c.1900 house was Louis Vernia, an agent for the Southern Railway who lived here from 1907-1914. David Smith, a clerk for the New Albany Post Office, lived here the longest. He resided here with Mary Cain, and then his wife Elizabeth, from 1931 until 1978. William Chilton, principal of Mt. Tabor Elementary, lived here with wife Paula from 1983-1993.
