The first listing for this address in the City Directory - with the Herter family living here - is in 1925. Mr. Herter was a boilermaker, and the family remained here until May of 1955. The Howard Brummett family was the next long-term owner of the home, purchasing it in May 1956. Mr. Brummett was a mechanic at Fort Knox. In July 1963, Hobart and Mildred Brewer were making their home here. The Brewers remained in the house through the early 1990s.
