Listing Description:
This lot was purchased in December 1903 by wallpaper businessman William Conner for $1800. Mr. Conner had his Free Classic-style home built immediately. The Conners sold the property in July 1906 to Morris and Margaret Laub for $6150. Mr. Laub was business partners with neighbor Charles Zink in the Laub-Zink Furniture Company. Fire struck the home in February 1917, causing considerable damage to the structure. The house was rebuilt and the Laubs remained in their home until their deaths - Mrs. Laub in October 1919 and Mr. Laub in September 1921.
