Preservation Louisville announces 'Hands-On History' workshops

The 2015-2016 workshop series Hands On History is here! The popular educational series is designed to give participants an in depth look at various preservation issues and methods of maintaining and preserving older buildings. Participants will learn practical, hands-on techniques for working with original materials and finishes to maintain, restore and preserve historic elements such as plaster, windows and stained glass. Topics such as local preservation districts will be discussed and how to plan your own DIY restoration project will also be explored. Programs are presented with support from the Brown-Forman Corporation. 

 Workshops will be held on the 2nd Saturday of each month from 1pm to 4pm, September through April at The Brennan House Historic Home, 631 S. Fifth Street  
Our kickoff workshop, Hands on Windows, will take place this Saturday, September 12, and will give participants the opportunity to practice their new skills on actual historic windows. The rest of the 2015-2016 series will run as follows:
